Eighty-four percent of those dots are gray. Gray means never. Not rarely.

Never. Six point eight billion human beings have never once interacted with an AI system in any form. Steven Bartlett, the entrepreneur and host of Diary of a CEO , shared this exact visualization in March 2026. It went viral because it said something that all the hype and noise about AI had obscured: we are not at the end of the AI revolution. We are at its beginning. Let me tell you something else that stops most people before they start.

They read statistics like the ones above and they think: if the opportunity is so obvious, if the tools are so accessible, if the gap between where most people are and where the opportunity is so large — then surely I have already missed my window. Surely the people who got there first have

already claimed the territory. Surely the competition for whatever remains is fierce enough to make the effort futile.

I have heard this thought. I have had this thought myself, in different forms, at different moments in the decade of rebuilding that followed 2016. And I want to address it directly, because it is not only wrong — it is precisely, factually backwards.

Consider how the internet grew. In December 1995, sixteen million people used the internet — four-tenths of one percent of the world's population. A trillion-dollar industry was built in the years that followed by people who entered that market at one percent adoption. At three percent adoption. At ten percent adoption. The people who got there at three percent did not miss the window that closed at one percent. They opened a different, larger window of their own.

AI is growing faster than the internet did — dramatically faster. ChatGPT reached nine hundred million weekly active users in under three years, a feat that took the internet more than thirteen years. But we are still, as of early 2026, at sixteen percent adoption. The window that opened at one percent adoption on the AI adoption curve is still open. We are inside it, right now, in this moment, as you read this page.

The people who will look back in 2036 and marvel at how obvious the opportunity was — those are the people reading books like this one in 2026, uncomfortable with the uncertainty but acting anyway. The people who will say "I should have started sooner" are the people who are right now waiting for more certainty, more proof, more consensus — and who

do not yet understand that certainty and consensus are what arrive after the window has closed.

This is my third book. And I will tell you plainly: it is the most important thing I have written. Not because of its length or its ambition or the research that went into it, though all of those things matter. It is the most important because it arrives at the right moment. Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich in 1937, at the end of the Great Depression, when millions of Americans had lost everything and needed not just practical guidance but a philosophy of mind — a framework for how to think about wealth and possibility when the world seemed to have closed every door.

I returned to Syria in 2025. It had been years since I had walked those streets, breathed that air, sat in the homes where memory lives. I went back carrying a laptop and a set of AI tools that, had they existed during the years Syria most needed them, might have changed outcomes in ways that are painful to contemplate. What I saw there confirmed something I had been building toward intellectually for years: the power of AI is not

merely economic. It is the power to do more, help more, build more, heal more — with less. With far less. One person with the right tools and the right knowledge and the burning, specific desire to solve a real problem can today do what once required entire organizations.

One person. One idea. One laptop.
